Notice of ClosureSolomon once said: “To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.” The words of this wise king have been weighing heavily on my heart these past weeks as we have prayed for God’s guidance and direction for Living Way Fellowship. My secular job has placed heavy demands upon me, including involvement in many community activities and early morning and evening meetings. This has caused an unhealthy increase in the stress in my life, which has begun to affect me so much that I realize I need to cut back on my commitments before it dramatically affects my heath. I have engaged in prayerful contemplation and sought counsel from wise men and women who have provided counsel and guidance to me as pastor of Living Way Fellowship. It is with a heavy and sad heart that I have decided to close Living Way Fellowship. Great care was taken in making this decision. Because our lease is up the end of April, our last Sunday will be April 25, 2010. Our church has labored tirelessly for the past 6 years, reaching out into the community and ministering to the needs of those in our fellowship. God, through the ministry of Living Way Fellowship, has touched many lives. I believe that God called us together for a specific purpose to reach those people who, without our ministry, would not have known the saving power of God. I also believe that God called us together for the sake of the people in our fellowship. It is also my belief that God is calling the people of Living Way Fellowship to go out into new places where they can take what they learned here and use it to touch a completely different group of people. Thank you for all your support of Living Way Fellowship. Sincerely, Jim Strickler Senior Pastor |
